CELEBRATING RESILIENCE

Meet Ashton McLean-Hall, former Resilience volunteer and CPD Officer

All year long, we’re celebrating the people who make #OurResilience possible and telling the stories of some of our biggest supporters. This month we're shining a spotlight on our partners at the Chicago Police Department.

“RVA [Resilience] gave me a lot of tools to help survivors gain control back and I try to utilize them when being called to respond to a sexual assault." Ashton McLean

2019 was a busy year at Resilience! We welcomed 2 new hospital partners, trained 50 new volunteers, added dance/movement therapy to our trauma therapy program, and partnered with 34 schools to provide sexual violence prevention education. We are so grateful for the continued support of our community as we strive to make healing possible for all survivors and end sexual violence in Chicago.

We welcome 2020 with compassion, gratitude, and a fearless commitment to survivors and their communities, and we wish you all the best in 2020. Happy New Year!
